Salsa Verde
Ingredients:
1 lb tomatillos (about 10-12 medium), husked and rinsed
1 small white onion, roughly chopped
1 jalapeño, stem removed (seeds optional for more heat)
2 cloves garlic, peeled
½ tsp Knorr Chicken Bouillon powder (or ½ cube, crushed)
½ cup fresh cilantro leaves, packed
Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tbsp)
Salt to taste (if needed)
Instructions:
Boil the Tomatillos
Place the tomatillos, jalapeño, onion, and garlic in a medium pot.
Add enough water to cover the ingredients.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes until the tomatillos turn a dull green and are softened.
Drain & Blend
Drain the tomatillos, jalapeño, onion, and garlic.
Transfer everything to a blender or food processor.
Add cilantro, lime juice, and Knorr Chicken Bouillon
Blend until smooth but still slightly chunky.
Taste and add more seasonings, if desired.
